The Zumba program, created by Beto Perez, fuses Latin dance rhythms with easy to follow dance moves. The result of this fusion is a fun workout that feels more like a night out dancing than a “work” out in your health club.
Our goal at AMCOL Fitness is to get our members into the gym and working out. With a group exercise class like Zumba, our goal is a little easier.
A Zumba group exercise class at AMCOL Fitness may be 30 to 55 minutes in length depending on the instructor. The class routine features interval training where fast and slow rhythmic movements are combined with resistance training. This combination, along with cardio exercise, helps to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.
Even if you have never danced before, you will have fun and feel successful in a Zumba group exercise class. The dance movements are simple and easy to follow. Instructors may include moves from Latin dance styles like the mambo, cha-cha-cha and salsa. In addition to this Latin flavor, many instructors create an international feel by incorporating swing and belly dance moves into the mix.
Zumba group exercise class has become a favorite workout for many AMCOL Fitness members and guests. Zumba is fun and exciting and you may even forget you’re exercising !!!
